A quick update and a photo!
I don’t have too much to report I’m afraid to say. A couple of things have held us up but we are making progress!
So, new flooring in! Doesn’t it look nice? We’ve also made a start building our counter, but no photos of that, sorry.
Work has finished on the roof, repointing and the windows have been replaced, and rumour has it that the scaffolding is coming down soon!
Thats about it for just now!
A little photo of a latte just for fun!
I have a couple of photos from the gig on Sunday 8th. I took a couple myself with my rubbishy Olympus but without a tripod, or any real photo skills, they didn’t come out so great. Then the battery died. Not good. Thankfully there was someone a touch more professional there, one Sam Brill. Sam is a 22 year old, Aberdeen based photographer who specializes in portraiture. He has kindly given me permission to post some of his pictures of the night here. For more information about Sam, and to see more of his work, take a look at his website!

A far away Heather. Sorry Heather.
Craig setting up. Nice and blurry. One of mine. Sigh.
Thanks again to Sam for the photos!
The jazz always seems to be confimed at the last minute, doesn’t it? A little bit more warning this time though!

Well! Yesterday was a good day indeed! We *finally* got the news we’d been waiting for from our architect. The proposals for the kitchen layout in the new shop have been approved by the council! Hurrah! This means we can get cracking!! While we’re not quite there with an opening date, this take us a massive step closer!
Also, Louise has been practicing her latte art and is getting rather good!
I’ll be posting some photos from the exhibition opening soon!

The title says it all. Unfortunately I didn’t make it to the start and only caught Ashely Park and Welfare Mothers. Also, I’m saving some pennies for a new, better camera…

The Welfare Mothers
Thanks to all who played and thanks to all who came along. What a fantastic night!
I have been wondering why the post about Friday nights gig was sitting at the top of the blog. Had somehow managed to make it “sticky”. I think I’ve fixed it now. This is really just a quick post to see…
So this is not a wasted post, I tried my hand at latte “etching” today. Made some kind of wierd catface thing…
What a lark!
It’s fair to say that *this* month was a little more varied.
Here we go in reverse order…

9. Good Arms Vs. Bad Arms/Frightened Rabbit – The Midnight Organ Fight
8. Land Locked Blues/Bright Eyes – I’m Wide Awake And It’s Morning
7. The Long Island Sound/Beirut – Long Island E.P.
